Barya Sa Kung Saan-Saan

Minsang sumakay ako sa jeep: “’Nong, bayad, short trip” then inabot ko ung nine pesos. After a few minutes, tinanong ko ung sukli ko na singkwenta sentimos, taz ung driver was mumbling something and all I heard was “para singkwenta lang”. Of course, on a good day with a good mood – I may have given it up and just drop it, but not this day, talagang kinuha ko ung sukli kong BARYA…

I guess nowadays we are taking our “Barya (coins)” for granted. We should always realize that coins earned will always make up a bigger picture. It’s a hard earned cash – sweat and blood – but yeah, maybe over acting about it – hehehe!

Shots I took – Coins From Everywhere:

Coins left on divider sill. Had the opportunity to take some US coins when I went there for a business trip.

Shots Out Of Nowhere Version 2

I love taking pictures, though there are times that I get frustrated when I don’t get the results that I want. Thing is, “nakakatuwa siya” – it eradicates the stress I get from work, taz’ the feeling I get knowing that I captured a moment there, simply amazing!

December 08, 2011, 0630PM, Baguio Burnham Park: Was about to go home, when I saw all the lights turned on along Burnham Park – which is just  few meters away from our “paradahan ng Jeep”.

Lantern Parade–Melvin Jones Baguio City

December 03, 2011, 0700PM: There were a lot of people walking around, there was a heavy traffic as well – we just arrived in Baguio coming from a long trip. Then we saw this line of lights – (though I’m not really sure what it was – did not have my glasses on), we move closer and luckily the event was not done yet – was not able to move close enough in the stadium for me to get better pics, but still, I enjoyed it…

Wrong Turn (Kadaclan Baguio City)

November 26,2011, 0350PM: Me and my friend went on a photo walk to Kadaclan, meters away from work. Interesting thing was we were suppose to take pics of the clouds from the Ranger’s House view deck. We actually found a path leading somewhere – thought it’s Camp John Hay – turned out we were wrong. (Hahahaha) – Enjoy!
1
This was the road we took going to Kadaclan – ohhh, a very long walk.
3
We arrived at the view deck and the clouds looked like these…
2
Then we found this path… It’s a bit dangerous, only a few inch away from the edge of the mountain.
4
Took a pic of the path…
5
A view from the path…
6
We had to pass a very steep mountain, going down – funny because you just can’t control your speed walkin down.
7
We finally reached the low grounds… I loved the shadows and took a pic of it.
8
Then we found this or we followed this kinda-old-road, sun was about to set.
9
And just followed it, until we found a NEW looking road, parallel to the old one.
10
Here’s the new road – with no fallen branches, twigs, leaves, cleaner than the old one. Oh, and yeah, my tripod as the extra, hehehe!
11
More shots from the place.
13
This stop sign looked like it was really hurt – got some real history out there.
14
Was getting really dark when we realized we’re not anywhere in JohnHay. We saw some guards / security personnel and realized we’re in a private property – not really sure if we’re allowed to be there. So we rushed, almost ran, and went back to where we started.
15
That was tiring – going back – luckily, we were not seen, we were not able to see “anyone” unusual – but we were able to see this when we got back to the view deck.
That was an awesome trip… So much for the day, was really tired – but it was worth it. I’m coming back for a sunrise surprise…
Thanks!
