Minsang sumakay ako sa jeep: “’Nong, bayad, short trip” then inabot ko ung nine pesos. After a few minutes, tinanong ko ung sukli ko na singkwenta sentimos, taz ung driver was mumbling something and all I heard was “para singkwenta lang”. Of course, on a good day with a good mood – I may have given it up and just drop it, but not this day, talagang kinuha ko ung sukli kong BARYA…
I guess nowadays we are taking our “Barya (coins)” for granted. We should always realize that coins earned will always make up a bigger picture. It’s a hard earned cash – sweat and blood – but yeah, maybe over acting about it – hehehe!

Kahit sa pag iikot lang sa bahay, napakarami ng mga barya ang matatagpuan. TAnong ko lang – yayaman kaya ako pag inipon ko lahat ng ito?

ReplyDeletehave you heard the pondo ng pinoy? When we were in high school we're required to submit a 1.5l bottle full of 25 cents. Isa 'yong project ng laguna catholic schools, objective nun na ipunin yung mga "mumu' o barya. After nun, ibibigay siya sa charity. That time marerealize mo na yung araw-araw na bebentesingkong nilalagay mo dun na iniisnab mo e malaking halaga at the end of the school year :)

ReplyDeleteMay option to exchange yung small value coins sa bank pag madami ka na naipon. The banks need it din naman para they don't need to make new coins.
ReplyDeleteI don't like getting 25 or worse yung mga 10cent coins kasi pampabigat lang naman sila and nakakahiya gamitin. (masamang view I know ^=^;)
so iniipon ko na lang sila.

ReplyDeleteTama ka. bawat sentimo na ating kinita ay katumbas ng dugo, pawis, at calories. Pinaghirapan natin iyon. kaya di ko maintindihan kung bakit andaming nagtatapon ng 5 and 10 centavo coins. Yung iba pinupulot ko rin.
